Membership renewal advice and future pricing

Dear Member,

On behalf of the Committee, Management Team and Staff of Plett Country Club, we thank you sincerely for your continued support and patronage of the Club.

The 2022/2023 year was filled with positive changes for Plett Country Club. The outsourcing of the Golf Course Maintenance, Upgrades to the Clubhouse and Facilities and Operational Controls implemented, we could trade exceptionally well.

Planning ahead, with the Club’s financial year end in mind, 30 June 2023, it is crucial that we find an appropriate balance between member satisfaction, value for money and the capital required to continue to offer our members the best possible experience while improving our offering.

Members have certain expectations for their fees, and the Club, as a business, must ensure the income levels required to make it financially feasible to deliver on those expectations. We are pleased to advise the members of the following membership renewal options while enhancing the overall value proposition and providing the best possible facilities, fantastic service and the balance between satisfied members and the Club’s long-term financial health.

As of 1 July 2023, Plettenberg Bay Country Club will be going cashless on all fronts.
This includes membership, prepaid golf package options, daily transactions on food and beverage and Golf at the club, and tips for staff members.

We have introduced Zapper, a QR code scan to pay on your Clubmaster App and together with your member account card, various digital payment methods, smartphones, watches, and contactless payment solutions, we can accommodate everything other than cash.

This is more convenient and will eliminate the security risk of having large amounts of cash on site. Please ensure to draw the funds you need for caddies and internal games with your teammates. We trust you understand the decision made to keep the club, its members, and staff safe at all times.
