The course

The best round
you've never
talked about.

There are courses that announce themselves. Plettenberg Bay Country Club is quieter than that — and better for it.

The layout moves through terrain that most courses would never have access to.

Indigenous fynbos borders the fairways. Established trees create natural corridors between holes. Elevation changes ask real questions of your game without punishing you for the answers.

What surprises most visitors isn't the difficulty — it's the beauty. Holes that open up to views across the Plett lagoon. Fairways edged with the kind of vegetation you'd find in a nature reserve. Wildlife that doesn't particularly care that you're in the middle of your backswing.

It's a course worth playing twice on the same visit. Most people do.

"On a clear Plett morning, it's difficult to explain why more people don't know this course exists."

— Consider yourself lucky.

The setting

You're not just playing golf.
You're playing in a nature reserve.

The fynbos biome that surrounds the course is one of the richest plant ecosystems on earth — found almost nowhere else. Walk the fairways in the early morning and you share them with birds that colour the identity of this club.

The lagoon is visible from several holes on the back nine. The Outeniqua mountains frame the northern horizon.
