Plett Country Club's own app is almost here. Nothing to download from an app store, no account to create, no password to remember — open it once, add it to your home screen, and the club is one tap away. Today's course conditions, what's on, results, a rules caddie, and a direct line to the club on WhatsApp.
Open the app and you're standing at the club: a photograph of the course that changes daily, live weather over our fairways, and the greenkeeper's word on how the course is playing — before you've left the house.
Ball against a sprinkler head? Doubt on the drop? Photograph the situation, tell Loop what happened — speak it, don't type it — and get a clear, practical ruling in seconds, with the Rule numbers to back it up. Our local rules included. Settle it on the spot and play on.
Fifty years on the bag. Every page of the rule book.
Good news — you can move that stone! Stones are loose impediments, and since 2019 the Rules let you remove them freely, including in bunkers.
Just take care: if your ball moves while you remove it, that's one penalty stroke and you replace the ball.
The club app lands here shortly.
The Plett CC app is in final testing. When it lands, getting it onto your phone takes about thirty seconds — no app store, no sign-up, no cost. We'll share the link right here, and on posters around the clubhouse, the moment it's ready.
Open the app — one tap from the link we'll post here.
Add it to your home screen — the app shows you how, step by step, the first time you open it.
That's it. The club lives next to your other apps, one tap away, forever.
The real booking sheet in your pocket — see who's playing, grab a slot, join a ball.
Enter from the couch, see the draw the night before, follow the leaderboard on the day.
Your index, your recent rounds, and exactly how Saturday moved it.
The club's conversation, right in the app — alongside the photos and the results.
We know an app is a change — and change lands differently for everyone. So this one comes with a welcome mat, not a manual: it teaches you the one thing you need (getting it onto your home screen) the first time you open it, and everything after that is designed to need no explaining at all.
