Four courts, real coaching and a community of players who take the game seriously — without taking themselves too seriously.
Book a court About the courtsThe tennis at PBCC has always been a serious affair. Not in the stuffy sense — in the sense that the courts are well-maintained, the coaching is structured, and the players who show up want to improve.
Four courts. Good light. A booking system that means you'll always have a court when you want one.
The courts sit on the southern side of the property, sheltered enough to play through all but the wildest Plett weather. The surface is hard court, the lighting works, and the standard of play is high enough to push you without embarrassing you.
Whether you're picking up a racquet for the first time or returning to a game you played seriously in your twenties, the tennis at PBCC meets you where you are.
Courts at a glance
The Olsen Tennis Academy is based at PBCC and is one of the most active coaching operations on the Garden Route. Luke Olsen and his team run structured programmes for juniors and adults — from first-timers to competitive players preparing for league and interprovincial fixtures.
The academy also drives a long-running development programme with a local school — one of the reasons the club's junior membership is as strong as it is. Members aged 10 to 89 call PBCC home.
For coaching enquiries contact Luke directly: 071 187 8977 or plettenbergbaytennisacademy@gmail.com
All-weather playing surface. Floodlit for evening use. Positioned to make the most of the Plett light — which on a winter afternoon is something worth travelling for.
The courts sit sheltered on the southern side of the property, playable through all but the wildest weather the Garden Route can throw at them.
Courts available seven days. Book online via OpenActive or on the iOS and Android apps. No key needed — staff are on site to open the courts.
